High Adventure Planning has started!
The decision has been made that we are going to do the Pacific Crest Trail High Adventure Trip. Attached are 4 pictures from Jeff Dishman showing the beauty of the trail we will hike. In addition to the hike we will spend approximately 4 days visiting sights in the Seattle area (Pike’s Market, Boeing Tour, Mt. St. Helen’s, etc.)
Details you need to know and actions that need to be taken:
- We have 4 adults going on the trip
- We have 6 scouts who have said they plan to go. We have 2 more spots available for scouts to join the group. We have identified 5 scouts that we had not heard from earlier about whether they would like to go. I would like to hear from everyone on the list as to whether they would like to go.
- The cost will be a maximum of $1,000.00 each. If you would like to go, but the cost is the major reason for not being able to go, let me know. We have resources to help.
- We will hold a meeting to go over details of the trip on Thursday 5/9 at 7:00 at hut. We would like to have the scouts and at least one parent attend. We will review the planning and work that still needs to be done.
Anyone who has gone on a High Adventure trip (I’ve been on 9 of them) will tell you they are all “A Trip Of A Lifetime”. My sons, who are 30 and 27 still talk about the HA trips they went on. Don’t miss out on the opportunity.Mike
